Rose Mary Breaux, RN BSN
Inducted into the hall in 2006

Rose Mary Breaux was firmly rooted in the New Orleans community, receiving her nursing diploma from Hotel Dieu School of Nursing. She was deeply inspired by Florence Nightingale and her philosophy on caring for patients with dignity and respect in context of works of mercy. In 1978, she received her BSN from William Carey College and continued in graduate studies at Loyola University in New Orleans. At the heart of her work was her belief in treating the whole patient, (body, mind, and spirit) and the patient's family. Breaux believed wholeheartedly that it is a privilege to be sent to a patient's bedside to serve them, their physicians, and their families. In 2002, she was named a Great 100 Nurse of Louisiana.
Breaux is honored in the Hall of Fame for amazing journey as a nurse entrepreneur and her dedication to the profession.
