Karon Gibson is the president of AmericaNurse. She produces educational and entertaining TV programs with outspoken experts and consumers. Gibson has been featured in People Magazine and various television talk shows. Her non-fiction book, Nurses On Our Own, depicts her nursing experience and adventures. She ran first aid stations for major motion pictures and TV series. She was the founder of a home health care agency and private duty nursing service, which pioneered the development of home care in 1973. She is nationally known and outspoken on hospital nursing, health care reform issues, and various other topics. She has been recognized by various organizations for her work. Gibson is honored in the Hall of Fame for her pioneering of nursing care businesses owned by nurses.
