Day one
This 7-hour workshop will show you how to streamline your LNC consulting business and improve your marketing strategies. Pat will cover all stages of business development (including startup) and offer up-to-date solutions for everyday problems, such as non-billable hours, setting fees, and keeping track of your time. She will show you how to work smarter with technology and how to use a virtual assistant.

The marketing session will include developing your 30-second elevator speech, brochures, and cold-call scripts; and it will review what works and what doesn't. At the end of the class, you will develop a plan-of-action that will increase your client base, minimize your administrative tasks, and increase your profit.

Presenter Patricia Ann Bemis, RN CEN, is the #1 expert on RN self-employment in the U.S., president of the NNBA, and author of Self-Employed RN: Choices, Business Aspects, and Marketing Strategies.

Day two
This 7-hour intern-like experience will show you how to analyze complicated medical records for fact, merit, and the detection of fraud. The documents you will be interacting with are real, only the names and places are changed. You will be working on actual current cases.

Rose will show you how to anticipate attorney needs and track billable hours. She will teach you the general rules of what cases attorneys should avoid and how to advise them. Rose offers real-world organizational techniques and methods to decrease the time spent on each record while producing quality reports.

Rose also offers a completely different internship at the NNBA conference. See details

Presenter Rose Clifford, RN LNCC, is the executive director of Medical Analysis Resources, Inc., a working LNC, and a well known provider of LNC internships.
